World biodiversity
OUR MISSION
We are committed to improving patients’ quality of life worldwide through novel therapeutic solutions originating from the Caribbean ecosystem.
Located in the Caribbean, Guadeloupe is classified as a top biodiversity hotspot in the world. With 3000 plant species including 1706 indigenous vascular plant species and 625 medicinal plants, Guadeloupe flora— 78% of the Lesser Antilles flora— represents a promising source of new medicine.
OUR IMPACT
Applying state of the art translational research to Caribbean biodiversity opens up new frontiers in therapeutic areas such as oncology, caridometabolic and infectious diseases.
Founded by Dr. Jean-Francois, Kalinago Therapeutics aims to promote Guadeloupean scientific research and foster the island’s socio-economic development. We commit to protect biodiversity and to utilize agroecological processes as an integral part of our research and development programs. Ultimately, we hope to contribute to the Caribbean’s sustainable development.
